The American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee, founded in 1968, is a statewide organization of more than 110 engineering companies with chapters in East Tennessee, Chattanooga, Nashville, and Memphis. These firms employ more than 4,000 Tennesseans and contribute more than $350 million annually to the state's economy.

Through its activities and programs, ACEC of Tennessee works to improve the business practices of engineering firms, enhance public awareness and understanding of the value of engineering services, and influence public policy to promote the safety of Tennesseans. ACEC of Tennessee firms provide services to government agencies, municipalities, private businesses, and major corporations in Tennessee and throughout the nation.


ACEC of Tennessee is a member organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies, a national federation devoted to promoting the business interests of approximately 5,600 engineering companies employing more than 500,000 engineers, architects, land surveyors, scientists, and other specialists. ACEC promotes infrastructure funding, qualifications-based selection, outsourcing, tax reform, regulatory changes, and other government actions benefiting engineering companies.
