Engineering Excellence Awards

News
2011 Winning Firms

The American Council of Engineering Companies’ (ACEC) annual Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) competition recognizes engineering firms for projects that demonstrate a high degree of achievement, value, and ingenuity. For 20 consecutive years, ACEC of Tennessee has recognized the most innovative projects and studies performed by Tennessee firms.

The 2012 Engineering Excellence Awards provide firms an opportunity to obtain statewide and regional recognition and to showcase their talent and expertise in a dramatic setting at the Gala celebration. Qualifying projects at the state level are then eligible to enter the ACEC national competition.

Awards
At the discretion of the judges, thirteen awards may be given: one Grand Award for each of the twelve categories and one Grand Iris Award, the “best of competition” from any of the twelve categories. Entries not qualifying for a Grand or Grand Iris Award will be recognized with an Honor Award for the project.

Gala
During the Gala celebration, all project entries will be recognized. The Grand Awards will be presented jointly to the client/owner representatives and the firm representatives, with a photo opportunity. The black-tie (optional) event will be March 6, 2012, at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs Hotel. More than 250 guests attended the 2011 EEA Gala, including clients, and federal, state and regional officials. The 2012 EEA competition offers the opportunity to showcase your year’s best engineering achievements to an audience of clients, peers, and decision-makers at all levels.
